Houchins, though situated just off the A120 at Coggehsall, is hidden away and set in its own peaceful, landscaped grounds. There are several areas to hold a civil ceremony at Houchins including two outside areas – the marquee and the recently launched woodland wedding area and three indoor areas.

The zinc and cedar shingle barn nestles in the wedding garden with huge folding glass double doors opening onto an expansive west facing terrace. It’s the perfect setting for reception drinks set in the landscaped gardens overlooking the elegant wedding marquee and pond.

The Venue at Houchins is a lovingly restored wedding barn designed in a unique modern style. There are three interconnecting barns which allow the wedding to flow seamlessly from reception drinks in the bar and on the terrace to wedding breakfast in the dining area that has 35’ high ceiling, open fireplace and mezzanine gallery and then dance the night away in the dance barn.
